Each entry is eligible to be selected for reproduction on American Indian Student Art Note Cards and other products, including magnets, prints, and note cubes. The note cards and other products are sold to raise money for the Student Intern Fund and grants for art supplies to the show participants’ teachers.
The artists whose artwork is selected for reproduction will receive $250 and four packets of Note Cards or one of the other products with the image of their artwork. The student and parents must sign the copyright permission form, complete a W9, and submit these two forms to have work selected for reproduction and to be paid any fees or prizes at YASS.
All the Youth Art products are available online, at Books and More at the Heard Museum, and at most special events at the Heard, including the Indian Fair and Market. In addition, they can be found at major museums throughout the country, including the Heard Museum, the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian in both Washington, D.C. and New York City, Western National Park Association sites at Tucson and Bandelier, Xanterra sites at Rocky Mountain National Park and Grand Canyon, as well as other prestigious museums, galleries, and gift shops.
More information on the note cards, including how to purchase them online, is available here.
